What to Wear Your Denim Bermuda Shorts This Summer

Denim Bermuda shorts are a huge trend for summer 2024, here is what I love to wear them with…

First and foremost, I typically go for a slightly slouchy, oversized look when it comes to denim Bermuda shorts. To balance this type of silhouette, I like to pair them with heels as opposed to flats. A heel tends to elevate this silhouette and give it a much more flattering proportion.

As far as tops are concerned, I like to wear denim Bermudas with another big trend this season: the knit polo top. Aside from the fact that I like the way they look together, the fitted polo once again helps to balance the slouchy shorts to create a more polished look.

Casual Day: How to Dress Up Your AlO Favorites

Personally I love ALO! It’s cute, it’s comfortable and if you style ALO separates just right, they can look very chic…

Case in point, the pants and cropped t-shirt I am wearing today. Super comfortable and very lightweight, have been wearing them non-stop and dressing up slightly for different occasions.

Typically, I opt of out sneakers and go for a more polished shoe like a mesh ballerina flat or minimalist strappy sandal. I add a few sparkly jewels but with caution, because you definitely don’t want to overdo it. I’d say one bold piece is the way to go. And lastly, I complete the look with a statement bag - today it’s Bottega Veneta east west baby, which I absolutely adore!

I am obsessed with Logchamp’s Le Pliage collection this season which draws inspiration from college campuses…

The sweatshirt I am wearing today is a particular favorite at the moment. Adore the fit, the cropped length and the eye-catching logo in Longchamp’s heritage green shades.

An incredibly versatile everyday staple, I love the way it pairs with jeans and cargo pants alike. For today’s look I went with the latter and completed the outfit with heels flip-flops and Longchamp XS Le Pliage vanity bag.

Thank you Farmhouse Inn for a perfectly lovely and peaceful stay in the heart of California’s Wine Country..

We fell in love with this property the moment we arrived, because there is something absolutely magical about this 25-room boutique hotel. From quaint gardens (I’m so glad we came in the early summer to witness the blooming roses), the tranquil atmosphere and the intimate feel, to the charming swimming pool and the fine dining restaurant, this property delights in every possible way. 

I hope that these images give you at least an idea of just how gorgeous and picturesque the property is. Although this was our first visor, w sincerely hope that many more will follow.

Hotel Les Mars - A CHARMING Stay in the heart of California Wine Country

A charming stay in the heart of wine country, Hotel Les Mars captured our hearts the moment we arrived… The perfect blend of the Old World European charm and contemporary luxury, we fell in love with the historic French maison architecture, the antique furnishings and especially the walnut-paneled library complete with beautiful leather-bound books.
iIf you’re planning a visit to the wine country, we cannot recommend this boutique stay enough because it’s the perfect gateway to Michelin-starred dining, wine tasting and other wonderful outdoor activities!

My current Reading List

The one thing That I probably haven’t talked enough about in the past is my avid love of reading… My grandfather was a book collector and he definitely passed on his love of literature to my mom. One of my earliest childhood memories is of my mom reading to me and when I grew older, I became a reader myself. 

Today, well.. sadly I don’t read quite as much as I used to, but I’ve been making a conscious effort to read more. Bucket bags are a very big trend for Spring 2024 and what I love about the Jimmy Choo Cinch bag is the fact that this bucket bag is reimagined in the East/West shape. One of my favorite bag shapes at the moment, the East/West bag styles feel very fresh and modern. How to style them? Well, honestly the possibilities are endless, but if you’re feeling adventurous, why not try and combine it with a few other trends of the season.

Today, I paired my Cinch bag with a strapless peplum top from Magda Butrym, capri pants from Vince and finished the look with Bottega Veneta sunglasses. All the pieces I am wear9g in this post are like HERE.

Personally, I love a good tennis dress and this one is so gorgeous you can definitely wear it on the court and off! For a cute off the court look, pair it with loafers, a bomber jacket and complete the look with understated polished accents.

I am also always partial to a chic sporty knit like the one I am wearing today! So good on the court of course, but also off paired with some jeans and ballet flats.

My Thoughts on 2024 Pantless Trend + Ways to Wear it

I’m not going to lie, I was not a fan of the 2024 pantless trend at first. Yes sure it works on a runway, and I can certainly see it on the Red Carpet, but it’s a bit much for the real life… isn’t it?

Well, perhaps it is not and being able to pull off the pantless trend is all about wearing it in the way that works for you. One way is of course by adding a pair of black tights and an oversized boxy blazer or trench coat to the mix. This styling choice tends to cut down the sexiness of the look and instead amplifies the edge and sophistication.

Another styling option is what I’ve done here today. The sheer organza skirt adds a lovely romantic element to the look and although I wouldn’t wear this outfit everyday, I was perfectly fine wearing it to dinner and cocktails with friends. But I am curious of your opinion, would you wear the pantless trend?

Chic & Easy Weekend Separates from Varley

Wore these chic pieces from Varley on a weekend trip to the Sunstone Winery and absolutely loved how easy and comfortable they felt all day long…

Something I talk about a lot here is of course comfort. In my day to day, that is what I prefer and yet… If you’ve been following me a while you probably already know that I tend to gravitate towards a more polished and pulled together style. And so it makes me very glad anytime I can find items that are both: comfortable and stylish.

For size reference, I got an XS in both the cardigan and the pants, and I am very happy with they way the fit. I am 5.9 and the pants hit me just above the ankle.

Summer Escape Athleisure Faves from Victorias Secret

To say that athleisure is having a moment right now is to say nothing at all… Personally, I am a big fan of this trend, especially when I travel. Comfort is of course key, yet I still want to look polished and pulled together.

Today, I am sporting a few athleisure finds from Victoria’s Secret I wore on my recent trip to Carmel. Under $50 price point aside, I love the mesh paneling on the leggings and corset details on both. I think it’s these extra little things that add to the overall look, and make the items appear much more visually interesting.

Newest Obsession: LETO Pool Floats

We just got these gorgeous pool floats from LETO, and now I am tempted to spend the rest of the summer just lounging around…

So chic, so elegant, so versatile, I love that they can be used in and out of the pool and that they come in stylish neutral shades which add a very luxe touch to a pool area. Other highlights: they are very comfortable so we’ve been using them as a poolside lounger when we’re not in water quite a bit, they are very lightweight and easy to move around, it takes no time at all to inflate them, which is very convenient.

So far, we opted for two pool floats in stripe, but I’m actually thinking of adding another two in the color ivory. Linked to both HERE.
