A shacket is a cross between a shirt and a jacket. A perfect year-round layering piece, it’s thick enough to double as a jacket in warmer months & cozy enough to layer under your winter coats!
A great transitional topper, shackets come in a variety of fabrics from corduroy and fleece, to flannel and even sherpa! A great alternative to a denim jacket or a classic blazer for example, shackets are a great transitional and layering topper which can be styled in a multitude of ways to create casual and dressy looks alike!
Linked to a few favorite shacket styles below. I love solid-colored shacket styles because they go so well with fair isle knits and patterned sweaters in general, but also plaid shackets because they look so good paired with solid-colored coats and separates.
For a cute casual look pair your shacket with a textured and/or patterned knit. Personally, I love to wear a solid-colored shacket with a fair isle sweater, but you can just as easily layer it over a cable knit to add a bit of texture to your look.
