Suits & Sets are a huge trend for SS2021 & this season we are wearing them in a much more casual way. How? Simply pair your suits or sets with crop tops, sneakers or slides.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know that we spent the last few days at the gorgeous Alila Merea Beach Resort in Encinitas. The suite came complete with a large patio, an outdoor fireplace, and breathtaking views of the ocean, so we took full advance and ended up having most of our meals right there.
Typically, sets or suits are something I often bring with me when I travel. Versatility aside, I find that they are comfortable yet polished and stylish. To jump on the suit trend this season, opt out of wearing them with heels and instead try for a pair of sneakers. The more casual choice of footwear, gives your suits a more modern, nonchalant kind vibe. Besides, it sort of helps to make them less “office” and more “wear anywhere” type of attire.
Another footwear option to pair with your suits or sets in 2021 are slides. A micro trend to look for in slides this season? Think puffy, pillow-like shapes, like the gorgeous lavender ones below. Another quick styling tip: if you find that your pants are a bit too long to wear with flats or slides, simply cuff them. Cuffed pants always look cool and effortless!
I had to post these breakfast pics because the food was absolutely amazing! We had a few opportunities to dine at Alila’s Vaga Restaurant and every meal was incredible. If you happen to stop by Vaga for breakfast or brunch, I highly recommend the pancakes and fruit and pastry selects!
