My husband and I absolutely love The Proper Hotel in Santa Monica, so when we heard that our favorite hotel opened a new location in downtown Los Angeles we had to check it out!

Let me tell you, it certainly did not disappoint! The hotel is gorgeous, the decor is absolutely mesmerizing, and the Cara Cara restaurant, which is located on the rooftop is an absolute must-try!

 

The skyline views are stunning, the expansive dining area is incredibly chic and the food is amazing. We ordered the Cara Cara Cobb Salad and Shrimp Tacos, and both of our dishes were absolutely delicious!

Later on we had drinks by the fire pit on the lower lounge. Typically we prefer crisp, refreshing cocktails, so we ordered the Cucumber Gimlet and the Salt of the Earth, and they were absolutely lovely. Fresh, crisp, and flavorful!
